We’ve had a good run in the weather since the beginning of May, much better than last years’ wash out, and long may it continue! We’ve been extremely busy over the past few weeks transforming lifeless gardens into spaces that can be enjoyed and shared with friends and family.

Decking is one of the most popular choices when it comes to creating some living or entertaining space outside. Decking is very versatile not just for creating spaces within your garden but also can be used to create paths or walkways, or simply adding dimension to your garden by way of raised decks. Here are a couple of pictures of a recently completed decking job, with the hard wood non-grooved timber helping create a slip-resistant surface.

Eating and lounging outdoors is one of the pleasures of summer and the past few weeks have seen us completing a number of patios to allow our customers to do just that! There are a few things you can do to instantly improve your patio. All patios become weathered during the winter (especially if yours is north facing) and the damp conditions mean that weeds and algae flourish. Pressure cleaning will do wonders for the look of the patio, and we would be more than happy to provide a quote for this.  To keep your paved area looking tidy throughout the summer it probably also pays to keep an eye out for any weeds and remove them as soon as they appear. Again, we do offer a maintenance service to save you the hard work. Alternatively,  a new patio will add vibrancy and life to your garden- below are a couple of pictures of two patios we laid last month, both using different types of Indian Sandstone.

Finally, although we spend the majority of our time in our back gardens, the front of the house is equally important. Adding a  driveway can add tens of thousands of pounds to the value of your house  and no longer means having a big lump of tarmac or concrete laid down! A durable block paving drive will provide a hard standing surface whilst remaining attractive to the property, as shown by this recently completed driveway.
